Eilersen cannot take full credit for the Butterfly sofa. It was envisioned and sketched by Japanese designer Yuzuru Nishiyama in collaboration with Jens Juul Eilersen. The idea behind Butterfly was to create a sofa that could balance formal and informal. The cushions set the tone for the Butterfly sofa. They are large and comfortable and seem to embrace the frame as the armrest cushions tilt over the side. A beautiful detail is the visible stitching throughout, which makes the sofa a true design testament. A perfect fit Butterfly is designed around a delicate frame with down-filled seat- and back cushions as well as armrests. The sofa is available as two- and three-seater sofas that come with an armchair. With its slim body and slender, stainless steel legs, Butterfly is a light sofa, perfectly suited for smaller living rooms or as a soft touch in a dining room or a large kitchen.
