Feeling confident about the strength and agility found in the pp66 Chinese Chair, Wegner took up the challenge to design a bench with an even stronger character. This is the only example by Wegner of progression of shape and design, from wooden armchair to bench. The Chinese Bench is a unique and extraordinary accomplishment in this regard.
